SBR latex is used as an enhancing admixture in hydraulic cement mixtures.
It is added to cement slurry, cement mortar, and concrete (reinforced or non-reinforced) to improve their bonding strength and reduce water permeability.
It also enhances flexural and tensile strength, abrasion resistance, durability under freeze–thaw cycles, and curing performance.
