BORAX 125GR MERCOLA

BORAKA is a white crystalline boron salt, ideal for deoxidising and cleaning metal surfaces such as iron, copper, brass and lead, as well as zinc.

It removes metal oxides to provide a clean soldering surface and helps ensure strong, long-lasting adhesion of the soldered joint.

Applications

• Enhances soldering with copper or phosphorus rods on copper pipes, brass pipes and other ferrous metals
• Acts as a corrosion and oxidation inhibitor, providing long-lasting protection to soldered areas
• When dissolved in water at a 4% ratio, it creates a degreasing solution for metal surfaces

Directions for Use

Soldering:

1. Dip the soldering rod into the BORAKA container so that it is coated with a sufficient amount of product.
2. Place the rod at the soldering point and heat using a torch.

Degreasing – Cleaning:

1. Dissolve 40 g of BORAKA in 1 litre of clean, lukewarm water.
2. Use the solution to clean and degrease the metal surface.

A material suitability test is recommended before each application.

Cleaning

Clean with water immediately after use.

Storage

Store in a dry, cool area at a temperature between 5°C and 35°C, away from ignition sources. Protect from direct sunlight.

Under the recommended storage conditions, the product has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored in its original, unopened packaging.
